Coachella officials on Thursday will discuss plans for a Hollywood-styele theme park along Interstate 10.
Coachella officials are looking to break into the tourism industry with the development of a Hollywood-style theme park along Interstate 10.
Coachella leaders are expected to discuss the plans Thursday.
Aztlan Development has not submitted a formal request to the city’s planning commission, only conceptual plans and renderings.
“Things can lengthen depending on how things are submitted,” said Mark Weber, Coachella’s economic development manager.
Should city leaders embrace the idea, the developer will move ahead with the formal planning process.
The project is projected to create 250 full-time jobs.
